The annual contest between the men and women, known as the Soden Shield, took place on Saturday 6 April, at Chesham and Ley Hill Golf Club. We had good weather and ‘storm Kathleen’ did not interfere with the days play. The contest had not been played in 2023 due to adverse weather conditions but this year we had a full turnout of 12 ladies and 12 men. The men were keen to maintain their 2022 victory and for 2023 held the trophy, with a comfortable win of 9 matches to 3.
