Our budding Junior Section provides an enjoyable introduction, to the great and sociable game of golf, for youngsters aged from 5 to 17.

The section is organised and run by a team of members headed up by Barry Hayers, Richard Pearl and Terry Rothwell all of whom have been DBS checked, and passed the UK Coaching – ‘Safeguarding and Protecting Children’ course as part of the clubs Safeguarding Policy.

From Autumn to Spring we meet on the first Sunday of each month and on occasions twice monthly. During the summer months of long daylight hours, we move to a fortnightly, evening session on a Monday where the juniors can enjoy their supervised golf while parents and guardians enjoy the clubhouse and bar facilities.  We hope to provide a BBQ to create a truly sociable experience at the end of a working day!

The section has a good supply of junior and cadet sized bags and clubs (as well as balls etc.) available for the free use of youngsters at each session.

Our aim is to instill a love of the game as both a competitive sport and a wonderfully social activity. We will look to enter teams in external competitions as well as our own ‘junior’ club events.
