The course is open from 7.40am until dusk almost every day. There is no booking required and mostly you can just rock up at the course and go straight on.  If you don’t have anyone to play with then we have lots of roll-ups throughout the week, to suit all standards of play.  Non members can book green fees on the GolfNow website and tee-off times are available from 7.50am.

Most of the roll-up’s have their own WhatsApp groups.  This is the best way to find out who else is playing, and whether the start time has moved.  Ask the group admin to add you to the group.

Men – An 8.00am friendly group, drawing partners. ‘Roll-up to play’ at 9.00am for tee-off at 9.30am; drawing cards for partners and playing groups randomly.  All welcome.

Ladies – The 1st tee is reserved for the Ladies between 8.30am and 12 noon. The Ladies section organises games and competitions most weeks. Tee times are scheduled in the Ladies’ locker room and any Lady looking for a game will always be accommodated.

Vets – Our strong Vets section play in the morning and non Vets are invited to play with them. Starting at 8.15am, random draw for groups.

Mixed – In the afternoon a friendly group, drawing partners, start about 1pm in the summer or 12 noon in the winter. New members are always welcome!  This is usually the best attended roll-up of the week.

Men – A group of men play regularly on Thursday late-mornings / early afternoons, and run informal competitions.  Anyone is welcome to play with them. They start at 11.30am.   Also a group of ladies sometimes meet on Thursday mornings at about 11.30am.

Ladies – Ladies meet for a ‘Roll-up to play’ at 9.30am

Men – Men meet for a ‘Roll-up to play’ – Very flexible, friendly and the timing is fluid.

There is a very popular Saturday roll-up at 1pm.  During the winter the start time is moved forward. Again partners are drawn so it is a good way to meet and play with new people.  The 1pm roll-up is usually well attended and is popular with those who play Wednesday afternoons too.

There are two roll-ups, 7.45am and 8.30am.  There is often a ‘Captains Challenge’ where the Captain and Vice-Captain throw down a challenge to another pair but they still compete in the roll-up.
