LADIES SECTION
Although the Chesham and Ley Hill Golf Course is considered a ‘tight’ course, it is well liked by most lady golfers due to the shorter holes and the relatively flat greens. We have a vibrant Ladies Section and there are regular competitions throughout the year. Ladies enjoy the same playing rights as the men, and on Tuesday mornings, the tees are reserved entirely for the ladies. A group of ladies also meet on a Thursday and Friday at 10am to play 9 holes. These are roll-up sessions and all members are welcome.
New Lady Members are always welcome. Whether you are a seasoned golfer or a complete beginner, golf is a great excuse to get out into the fresh air and socialise with like-minded people. It is a chance to make new friends, take regular exercise, have a natter and enjoy friendly competitions. And what could be better than playing golf on one of the most picturesque courses in the Home Counties? If you are interested in finding out more contact the Club Secretary.
We welcome players of all abilities. Beginners will benefit from regular lessons from our club professional Dave Marsden. For those that find eighteen holes a bit tiring there are even dedicated nine hole competitions that play on a Tuesday morning. Afterwards, in the clubhouse, we serve light refreshments. The bar is open for drinks and there is a nice terrace to sit out when the weather is suitable.
There is always something going on – weekly competitions, club matches, social events and lunches. Members also enter some of the Bucks County Competitions.
