Ley Hill men take back Soden trophy

The annual contest between the men and women, known as the Soden Shield, took place on Saturday, at Chesham and Ley Hill Golf Club

After narrowly losing in 2021, the men convincingly regained the trophy, under the ruthless captaincy of Nigel Ford!  Nigel led from the front with a hard fought win against the ladies captain Rosemayre Barry.  Nigel’s teammates were no less convincing, as their team romped to a 8-1 victory.

The second match was accompanied by a lonely Partridge which joined the group on the fourth hole.  The bird followed the group for two holes and appeared to be determined to get as close as possible to the action.
