Away Day Preview

For those of you joining me on Wed 20 Sept at Cams Hall here is a little preview.

We are playing 9 holes in the morning 18 in the afternoon, 3/4 h'cap allowance singles stableford.

Lunch if you want some, needs to be pre ordered, the sheet is currently up on the main clubhouse board. You will have to pay for it on the day.

The course is not quite a links course but it is sort of by the sea. There is a lot of water and the fairway and rough is very dry. It does fit in with the other away days, as it as far removed from Chesham & Ley Hill as possible. Captain Dave Farndon, my Dad and I went recently to test it out here are some pics. (all the pics are from the creek course)

Me on the 2nd tee, the lake does not come into play until the 4th and 5th.

This is the par 3 4th it's like playing our 10th over water! Not easy my Dad even laid up! Dave's ball got wet!

The following hole, the 5th a par 4 driving over the creek only about 200yds carry. Dave's ball got wet again!

A view of the clubhouse from the 12th green, yes more water I'm afraid. The 18th green is over the other side of the lake.

The 16th tee a par 5, the toughest drive on the course with the main sea inlet all the way down the right and bushes on the left. Out of 4 balls driven of this tee 3 got wet and the other was in a bush! No points scored on this hole!
