The annual Soden Shield match between the Ladies and the Men’s sections took place on Saturday 3rd May 2025 where 10 ladies played singles match play against 10 men. The matches were drawn 4 ½ to 4 ½ and resulted in the Lady Captain and The Men’s Captain going back out to the 1st tee for a play-off.
The final result was victory to the men by 1 shot! Everyone agreed that it was a most enjoyable morning’s golf and we look forward to the second part of this event, the Woodpecker Challenge, when we pair up and play mixed greensomes on 20th September!
