The Chesham and Ley Hill Ladies Section met for their Christmas dinner and prizegiving. As well as the usual prizes for the 18 hole boarded competitions, there were also prizes for the winners from the new 9 hole competitions. Marilyn Carter had performed consistently throughout the year, and was awarded the prestigious silver salver for Golfer of the Year. Her trophy was presented by the incoming Ladies Captain Anne Birkett. The Christmas dinner followed with 30 ladies enjoying turkey, Christmas pudding, mince pies and a challenging quiz!
2022 has been an excellent year for the ladies section. Membership has grown by 10% and the new 9-hole group has become increasingly popular. New machinery for the greenkeepers has helped to make the course more playable for our lady members, and the club are looking forward to a prosperous new season!
