Nigel Ford recorded rounds of 75 and 81 (gross) to win both the Scratch Cup and the Club Cup!
Nigel had predictably fierce competition from the two ‘Ricks’ (Lewis & Rankin) in the Scratch event, which also saw terrific performances by John Holland and Les Kimber.
But Nigel finished two shots clear of Richard Lewis and another two shots ahead of both John Holland and Rik Rankin to claim the Scratch Trophy.
Whilst Nigel himself shot an incredible nett 60, in the first round of the Club Cup, Matt Eames – playing out of his skin – shot a first round nett 66 and then followed it up with a stunning nett 62, to finish second by just two strokes. Both Bob Bruton and Eamon Moran also played superbly over the two rounds.
