As the Monday Night League reached its halfway point, the Golf Club team suffered their first defeat.  It was Bovingdon FC who inflicted the defeat and they were led by Kevin Franklin and John Reid who both carded 19pts which was the best score of the night.  Moving strongly into second place are previous champions 1879 Tennis Club, who defeated Berko Rangers in a close fought 52-49 match.  Alan Cripps and Clare Moore were the leading players, despite another strong showing from Berko’s Phil Bandy.

Yerrells moved into third position thanks to 18pts from team captain Julia Yerrell.  In a low scoring match Juniors defeated Golden Eagle thanks to a fine 17pts from Freddie Passingham of his meagre 7 handicap.  Golden Eagles Mark Dixon won the men’s longest drive and Clare Moore won the ladies longest drive.  John Reid won nearest-the-pin.
