With just one more week of league fixtures remaining, the Golf Club team have secured their place in the final. But the question remains: who will they play, and who will win that £500 first prize?

The Tennis Club are their nearest rivals, but they are also the Golf Club’s final match opponents. So, if the Tennis Club are defeated, it opens the door to Yerrell’s, Berko Rangers, and Bovingdon FC.

The Golf Club team were unstoppable again in Week 8 as they cruised to a 58–47 win over West Herts. Irene Crook led the way with 21 points, and Matt Gardner scored 20 points off an 11 handicap.

The closest tie of the night was Ley Hill Cricket Club vs. Juniors. Ben Povey and Finlay Kirkham both scored 14 points as the Juniors triumphed 41–40.  Yerrell’s had the chance of automatic qualification to the finals but were stopped in their tracks by the Berko Driving Range side. Chris Lewis was the star performer with 20 points.
