Monday night league - week 4

Golf Club are now the only team with a 100% record thanks to a 56-36 point win over the struggling Ley Hill School team.  Berko Rangers suffered their first defeat but remain in second place on points difference.  The Golf Club’s mostly female squad has been consistent throughout the early rounds, although their star performer in week 4 was Matt Gardner, who scored 20 points off 11 handicap.

The nights closest match was between Berko Rangers and Ley Hill Cricket Club. The cricketers George Woodley was the best performer with 17 points.  West Herts suffered a surprise defeat to Bovingdon FC thanks to a fine display by Kevin Franklin who returned 18 points from his meagre 6 handicap.

The best score of the evening was Matt Yerrell with an outstanding 23pts.  Longest drive (men) was Jake Passingham, longest drive (women) was Pam Munday-Cripps and the Nearest-the-pin competition was won by ladies captain Irene Crook.
