Before completing the membership form to join your child as a junior member, please can all parents/carers and juniors read the following. You will be sent a copy of the Code of Conduct for both the parent/carer and junior member to sign:
JUNIOR MEMBERS AND VISITORS PLAYING THE COURSE
- Junior refers to a person under the age of 18 years.
- A junior between the ages of 16 and 18 years old must play with a responsible person who is 16 years or older.
- A junior between the ages of 12 and 16 years old must play with a parent or Guardian or a responsible person who is 16 years or older.
- A junior who is 11 years old or younger must play with a parent, guardian or an adult who is 18 years or older.
- When playing golf at Chesham and Ley Hill Golf Club a junior 12-18 years old must carry a mobile phone which is switched on. This is a necessary precaution to deliver enhanced protection.
You must understand the dangers and take great care when crossing the roads on the course in particular:
- From the Clubhouse to the 1st Tee
- 1st/ 10th Green to 2nd /11th Tee
- 4th/ 13th Green to 5th / 14th Tee
- 5th/ 14th Green to 6th / 15th Tee
- 7th / 16th Green to 8th / 17th Tee
- 8th/ 17th Green to 9th / 18th Tee
- From the 9th / 18th Green back to the Clubhouse.
CODE OF CONDUCT FOR YOUNG GOLFERS
As a young golfer taking part in a Chesham and Ley Hill Golf Club activity, you should:
Ø Help create and maintain an environment free of fear and harassment
Ø Demonstrate fair play and apply golf’s standards both on and off the course
Ø Understand that you have the right to be treated as an individual
Ø Respect the advice that you receive
Ø Treat others as you would wish to be treated yourself
Ø Respect other people and their differences
Ø Look out for yourself and for the welfare of others
Ø Speak out (to your parents or a club representative) if you consider that you or others have been poorly treated
Ø Be organised and on time
Ø Tell someone in authority if you are leaving the venue
Ø Accept that these guidelines are in place for the well-being of all concerned
Ø Treat organisers and coaches with respect
Ø Observe instructions or restrictions requested by the adults looking after you.
You should not take part in any irresponsible, abusive inappropriate or illegal behaviour which includes:
Ø Smoking
Ø Using foul language
Ø Publicly using critical or disrespectful descriptions of others either in person or through text, email or social network sites
Ø Consuming alcohol, illegal performance-enhancing drugs or stimulants.

From time to time we may want to take photographs of your child.
We have a WhatsApp group for our Junior Section to advertise events, sessions etc. Please be aware that the parent/carer must be on the WhatsApp group with the child.
