Saturday 20th May was Champion of Champions Day at Chesham & Ley Hill Golf Club. This is the annual event that comprises all the players who have achieved 1st or 2nd in all the competitions throughout 2022.
The sun shone all day and the course was in terrific condition. Good golf was played and then everyone enjoyed food, drink and prize-giving for 2022. Congratulations to Andy Shephard who is this year’s Champion of Champions with a tremendous nett 63 (and with the best gross score of 75 too!) Congratulations also go to Ian King who came in second with a nett 66. The longest drive and nearest the pin for men prizes went to Andy Shephard – what a good day Andy!! Nearest the pin for ladies was won by Jacky Pearson and longest drive for ladies won by Irene Crook.
The 2022 prize-giving also took place with cups/ trophies for Bob Bruton, Brian Puddephatt, Dave Hankin, Les Kimber, Richard Lewis, Keith Fletcher, Ian Morris, Ian Burrows, Alan Puddephatt, John Holland, Paul Watkins, Andy Shephard, Matt Yerrell, Irene Crook, John Thomason and Bill Salkeld.
