On Sunday morning the club's new Captain Mr Bill Salkeld stepped up onto the 1st tee and struck his opening drive as the Captain 09/10. The normal sweep took place for where the ball would end up and Bill hit a sweet shot right down the middle with a little draw and finished on the green! As far as anyone could remember never been done before on the Captain's Drive.

£21 was raised for the new Captain's charity and the winner of the sweep was Mr Clive Baldwin.
